We had incredible amounts of fun and food, witness:

Incase you couldn't guess, my plate is the latter, more packed one. I felt the potato nestling in to the yorkshire pudding and the dribbles of cranberry sauce just gave a tragic yet tender edge to the presentation. We had no meats just veg (so no actual carving was involved in our meals) and we smuggled some of the rice for the beef stroganoff. Heroes.
I felt like a little Victorian girl because of the coat I wore. I also wore earrings. I know this isn't a big deal to most but I pretty much fear earrings. A few weeks ago in Topman I found this multi-pack of animal head stud earrings in different metallic finishes and last night I wore the wolf and eagle head, they seemed a fitting choice for the house of carved meat. I can't photograph them properly because they are shiny.
Gratuitous ridiculous pout moment....
