My friend Fiona who lives in nearby Eltham came over for some drinks. She had a fantastic wax jacket on, bought from Harrods kids department, swish. I love Fiona, she's a chick I really click with and she has my most favourite voice. Here she is in the jacket:
Then we went to a club night called Bite. I won't pretend to know what club it was in but it was a massive trek from the bus to somewhere in Holborn. I had been to Bite at its previous incarnation in Soho and I have to say I think I liked it better there. Perhaps that's because there wasn't a bitchy queen of a cloakroom assistant who wouldn't let me check in my cardie and jacket as one item: "You've got all the expensive make-up on your face, you can afford to check in two items". Oooo, that told me.
So we danced and drank and some guy shoved a camera in my face producing image number one, not that I faired much better prepared and posed for image number two:
And here is birthday girl Katie:
A man gave us delicious cake and then we went home and ate super noodles and harrassed Amy's housemate Ed about pyjamas and bedding. Or perhaps that was just me.
On Tuesday we went to Giraffe on the Southbank for some eats. Gok Wan was stood outside sheltering from the rain and filming, that seemed rather RaNdOm LoL. Then we headed north to Golders Green to root around the charity shops. Perhaps it is rather sad for me to spend my day off in charity shops but Kate had never been and we found her some really good treats. Amy also bought some gooduns, check it out here: amy, are you okay?
I was very controlled and bizarrely enough instead of buying weird old lady things all I bought was an American Apparel hoodie dress thing for £4 and some navy tights. I spoke to Bridget who is the manager of one of the Norwood shops and helped me a lot with my magazine last year and she basically warned me to get out of the charity shop managing game asap. Confirming my suspicions.
They've revamped the North London Hospice shop in Golders Green. Now it is so bright and the walls are covered with pics of old movie stars and from old fashion spreads. The North London Hospice shop has always been my fave charity shop in Golders Green and I liked the dinge but I must say, I could totally get on board with the refurb.
how is your 'american apparell hoddie'? look good?
ReplyDeletealso, you totally need to learn how to html up a link, its on the blog options when you're writing it. you have so much to learn! your writing is better than mine though :(
oh man, I need a sub editor. I totally know I have so much to learn, I wanted to find out how to 'html' but then I just went 'ah watevs' and left it like that. My writing isn't good, its long and rammbling and I can't rely on cutesy quirky artsy pictures. Not that it matters as no one looks at it except you
