from Harrods to Reading High Street

Today I had to brave the sales to get my Daddykins a birthday present. It was a real FML, only made it in to three shops, bought him a cardigan (which he bizarrely calls 'long sleeve waistcoats' - it's a long story but has something to do with him having Asperger's Syndrome...) and so coupled with the few bits I'd cleverly bought him before Christmas in readiness, I could knock off early and go to the pub for a beer and burger with Ma J, Amy and my mate Mat (the blonde dude in the 80s night out pics).

I wore my new Whistles jumper which was a v.generous Christmas present from the previously mentioned Elle, who works at Whistles Head Office. Also wore the faux fur (we are inseperable) and my excellent new Solea boots which were a Christmas eve treat from Daddy who bought them for me when we went to Harrods to pick up Mummy's Christmas pressie. They were £99 in the sale and Amy got an awesome pair of Carvela boots I am sure she will blog too.Funny, because last year I used to work on a Kurt Geiger concession and we sold the Solea brand and of course Carvela, but they seem to have brought out amazing and more wearable designs since I've left. I also bust out an old bag I got Christmas 2007 from River Island (I worked there that year, hatred) which Amy told me she hates, good times. Still also rocking the earrings though, which she is a fan of.
