it would appear that I do have a fail safe black dress, and it is not just a pop culture cliche. This dress was £13 (to be precise) from a charity shop in Frimley, bought about 3 years ago on a charity shop sweep with my friend Charlie. I first wore it when I was skinny, blonde and tanned the summer I bought it, but I pulled it out again for my auntie's 50th birthday party on Saturday; I'm older and sadly quite a bit chunkier, but I could still fit in to it (with help). I love that it is tassely and hardly needs any accessorising, although both times I appear to have worn it with my big snake ring, bought the same year. The dress is quite short so for a family event I felt it was more appropriate to wear it with my leopard print espadrilles to make it a bit more casual. Better work on my pork life or I won't be able to fit in to it in another 3 years....
